Care quality commission CQC
Lonsdale Medical Centre is registered with the Care quality commission (CQC), the independent regulator of health and adult social care in England.
The CQC’s role is to make sure that healthcare services, like GP practices, provide safe, effective, and high-quality care. To do this, the CQC carries out regular inspections of practices, including speaking with patients and staff, and reviewing documents and records.

Working together to improve care
The CQC and NHS England work closely together to help improve patient care. They share information, support each other’s work, and take action when needed to ensure that services meet national standards.

Integrated care board (ICB)
Lonsdale Medical Centre is part of the North West London integrated care system (NWL ICS).
Integrated care systems (ICSs) bring together NHS organisations, local councils, and community groups to improve the health and wellbeing of people in their area. Each ICS has an integrated care board (ICB), which is responsible for planning local health services and managing NHS budgets.
What do ICBs do?
The North West London ICB works with hospitals, GP practices, and other partners to:
- Plan and coordinate health services across the area
- Ensure services meet the needs of local communities
- Improve patient outcomes and reduce health inequalities

Primary care networks (PCNs)
Primary care networks (PCNs) bring together groups of GP practices and local services to provide more proactive, personalised, and coordinated healthcare. They aim to deliver care that better meets the needs of the local community, particularly for people with long-term conditions, mental health needs, or complex health issues.
PCNs are central to the development of integrated care systems (ICSs) and play a key role in delivering the goals of the NHS long term plan.

As required by NHS England, we are publishing the average earnings for GPs at Lonsdale Medical Centre.
Please note: this figure is based on a standard calculation method that does not reflect the number of hours worked by each GP. It should not be used to compare earnings between practices or to assess individual GP income.
Average GP earnings in the last financial year (2024/2025): £80,879 before tax and National Insurance.
