About us

Lonsdale Medical Centre is an NHS GP practice with a team dedicated to the community’s health and wellbeing. 

We provide appointments to our registered patients in person and by phone with a team of experienced clinicians, including:

Our large, modern clinic in Queens Park is in easy reach of public transport and is designed to give you the best experience and care. Many issues can be dealt with without needing to visit our practice, using digital consultations.

Doctors

Dr Daniel Dietch MB ChB 1992 University of Manchester MSc FRCP DCH FRCGP - GP Partner and Mental Health Lead - GMC: 3591480: Dr Daniel GP partner, has an MSc in Psychiatric Research, and longstanding interests in all aspect of General Practice including Mental Health, Internal Medicine, Exercise and Nutrition. He is a visiting lecturer at the Institute of Psychiatry Psychology and Neuroscience, King's College London

Dr Alexandra Panagoulas MB BS 2001 University of London- GP Partner and GP Trainer - GMC: 6031761: Dr Alexandra GP partner , having originally been a trainee and then a salaried doctor here and not wanting to leave! She has an interest in all aspects of general practice and in particular in women's health and GP teaching and training. She is a GP trainer and is the GP managing partner.

Dr Simon Read MB BS 1998 Royal Free Hospital - MSc, MRCP (UK)- GP Partner and GP Trainer - GMC: 4425380: Dr Simon GP partner, and is GP training lead and a GP trainer. He has an interest in all aspects of general practice and in particular in family medicine and lifestyle / fitness and wellbeing, including helping set up the award winning weekly wellbeing cafe .Lead for partnerships and community engagement.

Dr Amina Al-Yassin MB BS 2011 Imperial College London : GP Trainee Award Finalist DEC 2021 - GMC: 7177127: Dr Amina joined us after completing her ST3 year here as an award winning SPIN fellow. She works also for the CAHMS service and has an interest in child mental health and wellbeing for patients and staff.

Dr Abdul Naem MB BS 1995 Minor Surgery - GMC: 4200055: Dr Abdul runs our Minor Surgery clinic with expertise in minor surgery and aesthetic medicine and does a range of procedures for us including removing lumps/ bumps/ cysts and lipomas and skin tags as well as joint injections.

Dr Rebecca Joseph - GMC 7606412. Dr Joseph is one of our salaried GP's who has been working with us since training here.

Dr Mary Fleming - GMC 7604229. Dr Fleming is one of our regular salaried GP's with an interest in womens health

Dr Malik Mohsin - GMC 7138127. Dr Malik is one of our longstanding regular GP's with an interest in all aspects of general practice

Dr Syed Naim - GMC 7673022. Dr Naim is one of our salaried GP's with an interest in all aspects of general practice

Dr Fakhra Nasim - GMC: 7023110: Dr Nasim is one of our salaried GP's with an interest in women's health.

Dr Alex Chitra - GMC 4332563: Dr Chitra is one of our regular GP's working at the practice with an interest in all aspects of general practice

Dr Oyebanke Oyerinde-Johnson - GMC: 5188071: Dr Oyebanke regularly covers our out of hours GP HUB service

Dr Sejal Patel MB ChB 2013 University of Birmingham- Palliative Care Lead - GMC: 7408507: Dr Sejal is a salaried GP with an interest in palliative care

Dr Leah Mintz - GMC: 7135234: Dr Mintz is one of our salaried GP's with an interest in paediatics.

Locum GP doctors - we host regular locum GP doctors at the practice and remotely, to cover doctors who are absent and also to bolster the rota. These doctors return to us regularly and are therefore familiar with our set up, services and patients and take part in our team meetings, and become part of our team while here.

GP Trainees

We are proud to be a highly regarded training practice for GP trainees. GP ST trainees are fully qualified, experienced doctors who have been working in hospital specialties (and often also previously in general practice), and who are completing their final specialty training as GPs.

Dr Maytham Omran - GMC: 7177298 Dr Maytham is an ST3 GP trainee (in his final year of GP training). He is experienced in cardiology having worked for many years as hospital cardiologist before changing to general practice.

We are fortunate to have a team of “first contact” physiotherapists working with us throughout the week. They are experienced physiotherapists who can diagnose new musculoskeletal problems, give initial treatment advice and help with an onward referral or investigation if needed.

The Secretarial Team are responsible for the administration of referrals from the Practice, meeting minutes, safety audits and the month of birth recall system in the Practice

Clinical Administration Team

The clinical administration team are responsible for the clinical coding at Lonsdale. They are experts in coding and ensure that all our patient records have the correct codes. They also summarise the clinical records, help coordinate the daily distribution of electronic laboratory results and electronic repeat medication requests to clinicians, and clinical letters to GPs and pharmacists, run some of our safety audit processes, patient diary entry recalls.
