Covid-19 autumn booster vaccine at the Lonsdale and locally

We are currently offering the Autumn (seasonal) COVID-19 Booster dose to all patients aged 50 and over, and those aged 18 and over who are either living/working in a care home (or live with someone who is high risk), and those who are frontline health and social care workers. Some patients may receive a letter directly from the NHS inviting them for the booster (please bring this letter with you to your appointment).

You can book an appointment at reception, or using the NHS app.

We are using the Moderna (Spikevax) vaccine for this. This new “bivalent” vaccine protects against both the original strain of the virus AND the Omicron variant and is highly effective.

Under 18’s

Any patients under the age of 18, are advised to opt for the Pfizer-BioNTech, which is available at various walk-in centers and pharmacies.
For children who are high risk and/or immunosuppressed, Lonsdale Medical Group work alongside The Ellis Practice, Welford Centre in Wembley Park to be vaccinated by Dr Murphy. Please speak to our admin team who will liaise with our Covid Lead, Natalie Khelifi,to have this booked for you.

Housebound

We have started calling our housebound patients and booking them in for a home visit, along with the opportunity to have the winter flu jab alongside the covid booster, for better immunity this winter.
