We are an accredited teaching and training practice!
Following medical school, foundation training and core training, the final part of training in the progression from Doctor to General Practitioner is specialty training, or ‘higher specialty training’. As an accredited GP training centre, each year we support two GP registrars. They are fully qualified doctors who to work in the community (Primary Care) as a General Practitioner and to this end, are undertaking further training in a GP surgery. This also increases there knowledge and experience.
We work in partnership with the NHS Postgraduate Deanery for London.
Foundation Doctors in GP Practices (F2)
F2s are fully qualified new doctors. As part of Modernising Medical Careers new doctors will have an opportunity to do a four month attachment in general practice in the second year (F2) of their two year foundation programme. We usually have two F2s attached to our practice.
We work in partnership with Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust
We also have medical students at the practice from time to time and they may be present at some consultations you have with the doctor. You will be warned in advance if a medical student is expected to be present and, if you do not wish to have the student present during your consultation, please let the reception staff know.
